Woman Calls 911 After Snatching Phone Charger, Falsely Accuses Black Women Of ‘Beating’ Her

A situation that started with a dropped phone charger escalated into a woman calling 911 on two Black women and claiming they were beating her when video clearly shows that was a lie.

Alana Lambert said the whole thing started when her portable charger fell off her friend’s bicycle as they were riding through Central Park. She immediately doubled back to grab it, but another woman snatched it up and refused to return it.

The series of videos start soon after, with the unidentified woman insisting they have no proof of it being their charger and she won’t give it back unless they do.

“I’m going to call the cops,” she says.

The women tell her they have video proving the charger belongs to them, but rather than back down, she approaches a random bystander and accuses them of threatening to beat her.

She eventually repeats the same claim while on the phone with the police, acting hysterical as she insists the women are getting closer and closer to her, which does not appear to be the case.

“They’re touching me,” she lies.

“Are you racist or something?” one of the women asks her.

“Yes I am,” the charger thief boldly responds.

The back-and-forth continues with the woman constantly trying to leave them behind in the park as she continues talking on the phone to the police. She eventually approaches cops on horseback and reiterates her accusation that the women are “threatening” and “beating” her over the phone charger.

The police apparently watched the footage and immediately gave Lambert her charger back, but now she wants to draw attention to how this woman not only tried to steal her property, but tried to weaponize the police against her and her friend using outright lies.

“This has to stop. We are sick of you Karens. We can’t even live and enjoy ourselves, expressing ourselves freely being Black,” Lambert said. “I don’t get that situation, y’all.”

After last year’s “Central Park Karen,” Amy Cooper, called the police on a Black bird watcher and lied about him threatening her, the state made it illegal to make false racially motivated 911 calls.

However, Lambert says the police won’t let her file a report because “nothing illegal was done.”
