If you spend time on the internet, you’ve definitely encountered the term “Karen” by now.

While the name is now sometimes used to represent anyone who throws any sort of unwarranted tantrum in a public space, it originally started as a descriptor for people — usually white, usually middle-aged, and usually women — who weaponize their privilege and perceived entitlement against others. Karens are often seen as the type of people who demand to speak to a manager at the tiniest inconvenience, or go full-blown racist for the same reason, or, more recently, throw a temper tantrum over having to wear a mask in public during a pandemic.

The scenes these people make have been caught on camera time and time again, shared on the internet for them to be mocked and judged for their entitled behavior in the hopes that it will discourage others from acting the same way. You don’t want to be a Karen.
But now people on Twitter are sharing the things that make them want to go a “little bit Karen” — the minor inconveniences or annoyances that threaten your inner peace on a semi-regular basis.
And the things people are coming up with are pretty relatable, with some even going beyond minor inconveniences and into the realm of things that are actually incredibly obnoxious, such as people thinking they’re science experts just because they fell into a YouTube conspiracy theory spiral.
Which one of these would make you go just a little bit Karen?
