Hotel Altercation Shared To TikTok Has Viewers Debating Respect

Video of a verbal altercation between the manager of a Marriott hotel and two would-be guests has viewers divided as to who is in the right.

According to an explanation posted by @anonymoussss_ss, who also shared the videos, she and her boyfriend went to the hotel to stay with her boyfriend’s dad. They found him on drugs and unable to look after himself and say they went down to let the front desk know what was going on and that they wanted to call the cops.

The first of two videos picks up after the manager had already gotten involved and wanted the TikToker and her boyfriend to leave.

“You’re coming down here disturbing my receptionist,” he tells them. “I’m not. I just asked for the cops, that’s all I did,” the boyfriend replies, while the TikToker says she was giving them “attitude.”

“Young lady, at this moment right now, what you’re saying is irrelevant to me,” the manager responds. “You have nothing. So shh. Please. Shh. Please be quiet.”

The boyfriend tells him to “have a nice f—king” day and barges out the door to leave.

The manager doesn’t take kindly to that and follows him outside.

“I don’t know who the f—k you think you is, but don’t push my door, brother. I’m not the one you think I am,” he says, getting up in the younger guy’s face. “I will take 20 years of military and beat your ass. You understand me? Now don’t you ever disrespect nobody up in that hotel.”

The manager continues to go off, telling the boyfriend, who remains silent, not to “f—king play” with him, and that there are no cameras where they are now.  “I’m recording,” the TikToker says, causing the manager to get up in her face next.

He yells at them to leave, to which she repeatedly says she is despite not moving, and claims they threatened the receptionist. The video ends abruptly with the boyfriend saying “bye.”

The last TikTok was the first one posted, and without further context, just about everyone was on the manager’s side.

“Respect to the OG. Standing up for his staff,” wrote @yoshi704.

“These two tuff kids think this should go viral because they think their privileged,” @iamstallz added. “This man did the right thing. Little dude coward up lol.”

“Y’all acted like children he treated you like children,” @unjirafita agreed.

By the time an explanation of events was posted, a number of viewers stayed on the manager’s side, but others started to feel like he had crossed a line.

“I personally do not know what happened, but no person in a professional setting should EVER threaten anyone in that manner,” @addieerm wrote. “Telling these kids there’s no cameras outside and he’s going to beat the hell out of them?”

“Y’all hating until you have to be the parent for your parent [they’re] just kids trying to help an adult they never did anything wrong in the actual video,” said @official.kchanel, going back to the stress of the initial situation that allegedly led to the confrontation to begin with.

It’s unclear how the altercation ended, but the debate in the comments about who was in the wrong rages on all the same.
