The Laundrie family’s lawyer is stirring up drama yet again. This time, Steven Bertolino is targeting Dog the Bounty Hunter and John Walsh, who he believes have only joined in the search for Brian Laundrie for publicity.

Many people are searching for Laundrie, who disappeared from his parents’ house shortly before Gabby Petito’s body was recovered in Wyoming. The case has received major national attention and Laundrie is suspected of hiding out in the wilderness and living off the land, since no one seems able to find him.
Dog lended his skills and fame to the search last month whereas Walsh just teamed up with ID for a TV special about the case.
“Dusty relics like that Dog and John Walsh need a tragic situation like this so they can clear the cobwebs off their names and give their publicity hungry egos some food,” he told TMZ.

Whether there’s any truth to his statement or not, they are bold words from a man who recently received a cease-and-desist after an image of Petito was posted to his Yelp page, drawing accusations of using her image for his own public gain.
Bertolino has repeatedly made a name for himself during the ongoing investigation into Petito’s death and Laundrie’s whereabouts by mishandling public statements, throwing Laundrie’s sister under the bus, and generally drawing ire at basically every turn.
And his lashing out at Dog and Walsh is now being seen as more proof of his incompetence.

A representative for Walsh declined to comment on Bertolino’s statement, but Dog had a message for the lawyer: “It’s ironic that Mr. Bertolino would criticize the people trying to find Brian Laundrie, unless he doesn’t want him to be found,” he said.
