Some guy really thought he was doing something when he set up a photo labeling some Halloween candy “capitalism” and other candy “socialism,” but now the whole internet is simply dragging him.

It’s unclear where the photo originated from, but it shows a man sitting behind a table of king-sized candy bars.
“Capitalism,” the sign reads, before listing off bullet points including “Abundant choices,” “King size,” “Eat until you’re full.”

On the ground next to it is a small basket meant to represent socialism. “Meh,” “‘Fun size,’” and “Honestly you’ll still be hungry” are written on its sign.
The man is obviously trying to imply that capitalism is a wonderful system and socialism is unilaterally bad, using Halloween candy to teach kids his worldview. But it backfired on him pretty spectacularly once the photo hit the internet and smarter people started pointing out the glaring flaws in that plan.

Although some people were just there to drag him.

And Halloween is kind of a hilarious holiday for him to use to denounce socialism, when you think about it.
If you’re going to try to go viral for making things weird for kids on Halloween, at least do some research and get your analogy right.
