The Minneapolis chapter of the nationwide Women’s March that took place over the weekend was disrupted by a streaker in boxer shorts (thankfully) who crashed the stage where women were speaking out for abortion rights, getting to the microphone before being booed and dragged away. What began as a fun little joke to him turned into an arrest and multiple possible assault charges as he was filmed punching multiple men who were trying to get him away from the stage and later elbows a security guard in the head as he was restraining him around the waist.

According to a comment on a TikTok video featuring footage of the streaker, he also injured at least one woman who intends to press charges against him. The TikTok user who posted the video says that a full 17 people in the protest crowd “decided to press charges.” The user, “TikTok’s Favorite Karen,” also found the man’s own account in which he claims to be a “social justice warrior” and “mental health expert,” though both seem doubtful now.

The footage starts with him trying to approach the stage when another man blocks him, with the streaker complaining “don’t touch me” as though he’s the victim in this situation. The streaker manages to duck around the blocker and runs up to the stage as women shout in protest and organizers try to chase him away, but he runs around them and manages to get to the mic.

“I’m here to support your rights,” he says before security nabs him.

Somehow, the women’s rights marchers didn’t believe this from a man in his underwear pushing women off the microphone, and greeted him with a chorus of boos. He’s then pulled away from the stage by the security guard and can be seen punching and pulling at the shirt of the man in front of him, earning the streaker a face full of pepper spray.

Knowing he’s beaten, the streak stands with his hands up as a woman on the microphone tries to get the rally back on track while being rather generous to the TikTok user known as “Puppy Kult.”

“I hope that person finds what they need and finds some peace,” she says.

What he’s more likely to find in the immediate future is a whole lot of court fees and potentially a criminal record. It’s unclear what he thought he would accomplish by streaking at a Women’s March or how he thought he would get away with it, if he did at all.

TikTok users were able to identify the man as Sean Paul Garrett and found that he launched a GoFundMe campaign, which we were unable to locate, seeming to claim that he was in his underwear because he was “forced to strip” after being “assaulted, beaten, [and] intimidated.” This claim is not well supported by the video evidence in which he can be seen grinning and voluntarily running into a crowd and up on a stage, which is not something you would likely do if you were involuntarily nearly naked in public.

In a recent TikTok video, he seems to express shock at his own actions.

“Did anyone see what just happened to me?” he asks. “Oh my God, it’s a miracle I’m f—ing alive.”

He tagged the video with #mentalillness and #addiction, apparently trying to blame his action on his mental health, though “experts” in that field know that no amount of mental illness forces you to streak at a Women’s March. In his most recent video, he claims that he’s being “harassed” now, but few commenters appear to be buying his sob story.

“[M]aybe it’s because you assaulted 17 people and people have had enough of you?” suggested one user.
