Watching how people react to being asked to wear a mask has been a great indicator throughout the past year as to whether they’re willing to act like part of a larger community or if they’re just completely selfish, so it’s rarely much of a surprise anymore when anti-maskers are caught doing something else that’s brazenly inconsiderate in public.

Such was the case when one TikToker was in the waiting room at Quest Diagnostics in Pasadena, California, and encountered a woman who managed to refuse to wear a mask and be rude to the person at the front desk, all while vaping in everyone’s face.
Erin, or @hopey.pie, says that she was at the location waiting for her monthly blood draw because she has metastatic breast cancer. She noticed another woman wasn’t wearing a mask and, being a literal cancer patient, asked her if she would please be considerate and mask up.

“After I asked her to please put her mask on because I have cancer she went on to say we’d all be sorry when the vaccine fails,” Erin wrote.
The video itself shows the unmasked woman approaching the front desk to demand to speak to someone, claiming she had already been waiting for an hour to see someone despite not having an appointment.
“I need to speak to someone right now,” she demands repeatedly while vaping and standing closer to the desk than the signage requests.
The employee engages with her briefly before asking her to stop smoking inside. “I am not being rude,” she says. “I am not being rude. I am actually using this to control my auto-immune disorder.”
She continues to demand to speak to a doctor even as the front desk worker informs her that she is not going to receive any service today.
What exactly made the woman so insistent on speaking to someone “right now” is unclear, but Erin says she had a problem with being asked to put a mask on, and actually yelled at her for doing so.
She also wrote in the comments that the employee ended up “escorting me out the back because she was on the phone with corporate complaining about me.”
Viewers continue to be fed up with anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers refusing to act remotely considerate of others, but particularly while being so demanding themselves.
“Don’t believe in science but goes to the hospital,” wrote one TikToker. “The irony. The entitlement. The privilege. It reeks.”

“She is the poster child of ‘I don’t know what’s in the vaccine’ then inhales literal chemicals,” another pointed out.
In July, anti-maskers actually protested masks and vaccines outside of a breast cancer hospital in Los Angeles, screaming in the faces of cancer patients and ultimately punching one. While this incident doesn’t appear to have resulted in violence, the lack of consideration for those among us who are already struggling, in both cases, could not be more clear.
