One woman’s Thanksgiving plans went off the rails after she planned a whole get-together with her friends and nobody showed.

“My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving,” Christian Zamora (@kidalloy) wrote on TikTok. “She decorated the whole basement and cooked so much food.”

His video shows his girlfriend, Maryann, sitting at an empty table with silverware and plates all laid out, and nobody else around except the two of them.

The video pulled in over 15 million views, prompting Christian to explain what happened to concerned strangers in a follow up.

“My girl and her friends had decided to throw a Friendsgiving like two weeks in advance,” he said. “When the day came, no one was answering the group chat, no one was texting, no one was calling, so to her mind, she thought everyone was just running late. But when it hit the three-hour mark, she was kind of like, yeah, no one is gonna come.”

That’s when Christian got involved, inviting all of his friends to meet him at her place so that she wouldn’t be alone and the day wouldn’t go to waste.

“They were more than gracious enough to come. They all came. They brought stuff. So it’s like she had her own Friendsgiving,” he said.

Of course, that didn’t stop Maryann from being disappointed that her friends ghosted her in such an awful way.

But the support from her boyfriend and internet strangers who flooded the comments with offers of friendship seems to be going a long way towards making up for it all.

“Those friends need to be dropped,” wrote the LA Galaxy soccer club. “We’ll be her friends.”

“Sweetheart this was good practice for when you have friends who are worthy of you and your hosting skills,” @fionatherottie offered.

“She may not have a big friend group but the fact that her boyfriend is her best friend is so sweet,” added @mariescarr.
