When Donald Trump was ill with the novel coronavirus, he was given access to every possible treatment, including a treatment made from stem cells despite his severe anti-abortion stance. He was also indulged psychologically in every way and forced several Secret Service members to drive him around the White House in a close car so he could wave at his fans. No, he didn’t wear a mask.

That’s egregious enough, but on Friday, the Washington Post reported that over while traveling on Trump’s campaign for reelection, 130 members of the Secret Service contracted COVID-19 and have gone into quarantine. Once again, Trump is at the center of a super spreader event.

Most of us don’t know what it’s like to travel with the support of the Secret Service, so it’s hard to comment on how this happened from an insider perspective. But Chelsea Clinton was a member of the First Family, and she had some choice words for Trump.

“Shame on you, @realDonaldTrump and your family,” Clinton tweeted. “You put those sworn to protect you at risk with your reckless, dangerous choices. Hope every Secret Service agent and their family members receive the same care you did if they get sick from #covid19.”

I hope so, too, but it seems unlikely anyone will get the treatment Trump did. While no one in the replies has Clinton’s experience, many agreed this news was disgusting (if they weren’t using the comments as an opportunity to trash Hillary Rodham Clinton):

Trump is obviously not someone who internalizes criticism and reflects on how to do better, but anyone should be careful about pissing off literally hundreds of people who are sworn to protect him.
