Kirstie Alley is one of many celebrities who are trying to burn out every last bit of goodwill by being constantly on Twitter. Like a number of shameless celebs, Alley is a huge Donald Trump fanatic, and she tweets about it a lot. Though lately she’s tweeted even more about hating the entire Biden family. It’s a toss-up between loving the Republican candidate and hating every Democrat.
To be fair to Alley (if we must), she is not a COVID-19 denier. She knows it is real and claims to wear a mask and take social distancing seriously. But she won’t leave it at that. Instead, she insisted on casting shade on coronavirus reporting and safety measures, mostly because she likes criticizing CNN.
“I now Know why my personal friends who walk around in SHEER TERROR of contracting Covid are simply CNN viewers!” Alley tweeted. “I decided to watch CNN myself to get a their viewpoint and oh my God DID I EVER!!!! IF YOU TOO WANT TO LIVE IN TERROR WATCH CNN!! FEAR OF DYING IS THEIR MANTRA! OMG!”
Well, CNN’s communication team’s official Twitter account, @CNNPR, are not standing for it. They clapped back at Alley, using very formal language and an extremely specific burn.
“Kirstie, you are welcome to change the channel – just like countless viewers did every time ‘Veronica’s Closet’ came on TV,” the mystery PR person wrote. “But don’t downplay the loss of nearly 230K American lives. And please, wear a mask.”
Damn, this is what they’re calling “communications” these days? You gotta major at Roasting University with a minor in dragging people to hell.
