New York Trolls Ivanka Trump With “Not Wanted” Posters

Posters have popped up around New York featuring Ivanka Trump’s face and the prominent words “NOT WANTED” in a clear effort to troll the Trump daughter as the family prepares to be ousted from the White House. The posters, put up by comedy duo Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler who are known as “The Good Liars” on Twitter, also include some amusing details such as an accent described as “fake posh” and eyes as “dead behind.”

The best part, objectively, is the descriptor that reads: “Married to Slenderman? Yes.”

Selvig and Stiefler have focused most, if not all, of their comedic energy on Donald Trump and his children over the past four years, often mocking Donald Trump Jr. for his frequent attempts to get positive attention from his dad. They also trolled Donald Sr. using Ivanka’s “Try Something New” campaign to encourage the unemployed to find new career paths, which was largely panned as being a useless performance.

This latest joke poster campaign is likely in reference to the general anti-Trump sentiment throughout New York City, as well as potentially to a recent tell-all book published by a former Ivanka bestie. In the book, author Lysandra Ohrstrom claims that many of the Trump daughter’s former friends have said that she “can never show her face in Manhattan again.”

New York also voted to paint a “Black Lives Matter” mural in the street right in front of Trump tower, which the president adamantly objected to. New Yorkers also made their feelings about the president known during the 2019 Veteran’s Day parade, where signs called for his impeachment and chants called him a “traitor.”

More recently, billboards put up by The Lincoln Project brutally dragged Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for their statements on New York and COVID-19 as well as their lack of action on the pandemic.

The “not wanted” posters are smaller than the billboards, but they’re still getting plenty of praise from Trump critics.

“Outstanding,” wrote Democratic strategist Greg Pinelo. “No more champagne at the Met Ball for her. Franzia White Zin at CPAC after parties is her future.”
