The post that has attracted the most attention is one on Reddit about how he’s been slowly replacing the art on his shelves with his own work to see if his wife notices.

“I replaced some photos in my house as prank on my wife. It took her 8 days to notice. They also get to stay up,” he titled it.

My Modern Met spoke with him about his process, and he says he started with Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, and when she didn’t notice that, he added Ewan McGregor as a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

“Star Wars has always been my favorite movie series and [these pictures] were something I thought were fun to make after having done a full set of old military portraits,” he told Bored Panda in another interview.

“These portraits take on average around 2-3 hours to do. I make them on my iPhone with an app like Photoshop and involve a lot of work on texture layers and lighting to fit into the original pictures.”

It’s nice that his wife appreciated his efforts. It looks like the shelf was already pretty crammed with Star Wars paraphernalia, so she must be used to it.

And ScadArts has so much fame now that some of his art has made its way back to the inspiration for it:

Rosaio Dawson approved.
