An anti-vaxxer rally in London drew cheers from the crowd as one speaker shockingly reminded people that doctors and nurses hung for their crimes following the Nuremberg trials.

Kate Shemirani, a former nurse-turned-conspiracy theorist, stood in front of a large crowd gathered at Trafalgar Square on Saturday.
“Ask them what is in it,” she said, seemingly referring to asking medical professionals about the COVID vaccine. “Ask them. Get their names. You email them to me…We have a group of lawyers, we are collating all that. At the Nuremberg trials, the doctors and nurses stood trial and they hung!”

The crowd erupted into cheers before Shemirani addressed doctors and nurses directly, telling them this is their opportunity to “get off that bus” and stand with the anti-vaxxers.
Some have taken Shemirani’s speech as a call to violence against healthcare workers, and quite frankly, it’s not a major leap.
Suggesting that she’s compiling a database of names of people who are vaccinated while calling to mind the post-World War II trials in which people were charged with and executed for literal war crimes against humanity seems like a clear enough message—and a thoroughly appalling one.

No small number of people begged the police to investigate Shemirani for inciting violence.
London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, was among those who condemned the message, noting on Twitter that he brought it up directly to the Met Police.
The protest reportedly drew thousands of protestors and additional conspiracy theorist speakers, despite COVID restrictions being lifted across England and the vaccine not being mandatory.
