Bill O’Reilly has responded to an article published Friday by Politico about how the upcoming tour he has planned with Donald Trump has lagging ticket sales. The tour has four dates beginning December 11th, two in Florida, then two in Texas.

Mediaite reports that there are a few tickets close to the stage, for people who want to be spattered by spit and flop-sweat, and those cost $1,000. The rest of the seats are in the $100-$300 range.

Politico and Mediaite have a very easy way to verify their claims that tickets sales are bad— all they have to do is search on Ticketmaster and AXS and it’s very clear that there are thousands of seats available at various venues, particularly in Orlando.
The tour is several months away, but Politico compared their sales to tickets sales for events for Michelle Obama and the Clintons, which sold out in minutes in venues of comparable size. Also, an anonymous employee told them that Bad Bunny had recently sold out a concert in just two days that isn’t even going on until March.
“We have concerts that are doing a lot better than this,” they said.
Neither the Trump camp nor Bill O’Reilly are happy with the attention on their numbers. Trump’s spokesperson Liz Harrington told Politico, “The History Tour has already sold over $5 million of tickets, and the excitement and enthusiasm is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Come December, the sold out shows will be a memorable night for all.”
O’Reilly claimed that promotion has not yet ramped up for the tour, and they’ve already made a lot of money anyway, so there.
“We have more than $7 million in the bank,” he said. “We haven’t spent a nickel on marketing, nothing. All those 7 million for four shows were done on the announcement. Marketing will start in about a week. Nobody has sold tickets this fast at this price, and VIPs are sold out at three of the four venues.”
I guess we shall see if Trump pulls people to his events when they’re not free hate rallies.
