Infowars host Owen Shroyer took a minute on his show War Room With Owen Shroyer Friday to address criminal charges he is facing for his participation in the Capitol riots on January 6th of 2021, BuzzFeed reports. The U.S. attorney’s office filed a new complaint the same day that charged Shroyer for entering a restricted area on the Capitol grounds and disorderly conduct. He was also photographed on a stage outside the building with Alex Jones, Infowars’ founder—and someone who has NOT been charged.

Shroyer was fingered by the FBI because an anonymous tipster who found a video that allegedly shows Shroyer on a set of stairs inside the building that he definitely shouldn’t have been on.

“A couple hours ago, I was informed by my attorney that there is a warrant out for my arrest with allegations involving Jan. 6, and I will have to turn myself in Monday morning,” he said. “There’s a lot of questions, some I have answers to, some I don’t. I’m not going to be getting into more of this today on the air. And I plan on declaring innocence of these charges because I am.”
Shroyer also promoted the event, encouraging others to attend the Capitol gathering, and even appearing in promo vids. Nothing he was doing was a secret, but he seems to have crossed a line by actually entering the building. And he was actually supposed to show up on Friday in court to hear an update on his case, and didn’t, so that may be why the situation has escalated.
Some viewers who aren’t exactly fans seem to think that Shroyer is looking pretty freaked out and are wondering why he’s not in cuffs already:

Shroyer is one of the more high-profile people to have been charged with anything in relation to the riots, certainly at Infowars.
